| When/How I started banding | As my husband played in a Brass Band when I met him it was be a band widow or groupie or learn to play an instrument. So in about 1999 I took up the challenge and started to learn to read music and play the B-flat bass. I will never be a very good player but I play my part as best I can and enjoy being part of a great band. |
| Best-ever banding moment | Being in the band when it came 2nd in the West of England contest at Torquay in 2003. |
| Worst-ever/most embarrassing banding moment | None yet! |
| When I joined Downton Band | 1999 as a player, 1993 as a helper and contest secretary. Became secretary in 1997. |
| Favourite band piece | Think of Me by Andrew Lloyd Webber |
| Least favourite band piece | Second Suite in F major by Holst |
