Welcome to Downton Jubilee Brass
As another string to it’s bow (if you can say that of a Brass Band) Downton Jubilee Brass nestles under the wing of the Downton Band and offers the opportunity for everyone to rehearse wonderful music together at a more leisurely pace.
Currently a non-performing outfit, Downton Jubilee Brass (DJB) aim to serve their members at around 4th section level (roughly exam grade 3-6 standard). With a large library of Downton Band music available..
The Band Hall door in Gravel Close is open every Wednesday evening from 7pm and any players, brass students, born-again bandsmen (& percussionists!) are very welcome to come and join us in rehearsals and try it for yourself. This is the next step after our training band for absolute beginners. We have a range of instruments available too, so no need to rush out and spend hundreds (or thousands!) on one straight away!

Who? Anyone who plays a brass instrument - especially born-again bandsmen, students and adults too - the more the merrier!

How much? Come along for free! If you enjoy it after a few weeks and would like to join, it works out at about £1.50 a week.
