| When/How I started banding | Keith learnt to play the cornet aged 7 in the Darlington Salvation Army junior band, progressing to the senior band aged 16, playing cornet. Moved on to soprano at 17. Moved on to principal cornet aged 20. Moved to Middlesbrough Citadel 1973 playing on the front row cornet section then transferred on to solo horn. Relocated to Bournemouth in 1981 and played with Boscombe SA Band joining the horn section. Had the privilege of touring Sweden, America & Canada, travelled extensively with each band through England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Retired From Boscombe band 2004. |
| Best-ever banding moment | Playing in the Royal Albert Hall on solo horn in a major concert with Boscombe SA band with Roland as principal cornet. Reaching the National Finals with Downton Band March 2009. |
| Worst-ever/most embarrassing banding moment | Marching along Bournemouth promenade with Boscombe band and being tripped up by a BBC camera crews cable while filming for Thora Hird's Praise Be Programme. |
