| When/How I started banding | I first started at the age of 8 or 9 I joined SAYM (Salisbury Area Young Musicians) moving up through each section as lead trumpet in each area. At the age of 13 I joined the Jazz Band they had. It was in 2005 that I joined Downton youth band after being found out by Dave Sainsbury that I played trumpet as I had just won an award in music for best musician of the year in year 9. I played in the youth section for about a term before being asked to join the senior section! I am still here today! |
| Best-ever banding moment | Well I would have to say I am one of those crazy nutters that like to get up early and play with the band on Christmas morning it is a wonderful experience! |
| Worst-ever/most embarrassing banding moment | I have one or two; being told that we started at 2AM on Christmas morning and going up and down Downton trying to find out where everyone was!!! Another is the New Forest show…..what happened in the car stays in the car no questions need be asked!!! |
